Why Breckenridge, Colorado?

Breckenridge, a Victorian mining town established in 1862, is the oldest, continually occupied community on Colorado's western slope. The mining town includes one of Colorado's largest national historic districts, with 254 registered buildings. Today Breckenridge is more than a quaint mining town from the past with exceptional skiing. It's a year-round resort destination with enough summer and winter activities to please everyone.

Winter - Breckenridge is the only ski area in Colorado encompassing four interconnected mountains. With its vast snow making capabilities and high-alpine terrain, it offers superb skiing from late fall to late spring. In addition to alpine skiing, enjoy cross-country skiing, snow-boarding, dinner sleigh/carriage rides, ice skating, and snowmobiling.

Breckenridge Ski Resort is the largest historic district in the state of Colorado. The town and its residents are eager to offer something new and hip to visitors, from thriving nightlife to extreme mountain competitions at the colossal Breckenridge ski resort.

The resort's 146 trails span through four interconnected mountains, making Breckenridge Summit County's largest ski area. Each peak is fantastic in its right, providing skiers and riders with a mass mixture of terrain.

The Mountain

From the thrill of deep fluffy powder to the gentle rolling of a corduroy cruiser, at Breckenridge Ski Resort you get big altitude with just the right attitude. Consistently ranked as one of the Top 10 Ski Resorts in North America, Breckenridge offers huge variety throughout its 2,358 acres of terrain. Breck is skiing and riding euphoria, to say the least.

Four breathtaking mountain peaks top-off the Ten Mile Range and overflow with options for both the most hungry skier and the more eager beginner. Whether you crave the adrenaline rush of steep chutes or the grandeur of wide open bowls, this mountain playground provides all you want and more.

Breckenridge is known worldwide for its innovative terrain parks. Four professionally designed parks are loaded with huge kickers, jibbing features, and three world class half-pipes. On any given day, you'll see pro athletes throwing their skills for the many freestyle events that Breckenridge hosts.
